Purpose of the role
Express Medicals is looking for an Occupational Health Technician to join our dynamic Clinical Team in Leeds. You’ll be responsible for providing comprehensive medical assessments, occupational health screening, and drug and alcohol sample collections to our clients across the UK. As part of our clinical operations, you will help ensure that our day-to-day services run smoothly, supporting the team both in clinics and at client sites when required.

Key Responsibilities
Provide occupational health screening and assessments to Network Rail standards and other clients
Conduct drug and alcohol collections following chain of custody protocols
Perform phlebotomy, audiometry, spirometry, and ECGs as needed
Travel to client sites, including occasional overnight stays
Ensure clinical supplies are replenished and equipment is in excellent condition
Assist with training new team members and support administrative tasks when required
Person Specification
Essential:
GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work unsupervised
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage workload effectively and work under pressure
A flexible and proactive approach, with a "can-do" attitude
Desirable:
Experience working in a healthcare environment
Healthcare certificate Level 3 or a medical qualification
Experience with drug and alcohol collections, chain of custody procedures, or occupational health assessments
Skills in phlebotomy, audiometry, spirometry, or ECG administration
