‘Take One Leave One’ initiative keeping Lambeth warm
Express Medicals are supporting the ‘Take One Leave One’ initiative that provides warm clothes to people without homes and those facing a tough winter in Vauxhall.
The scheme is genius in its simplicity: a rail of warm clothes and a sign, encouraging passers-by to take an item if they need it, and leave an item if they can help. The rail also acts as a hub that allows volunteers to reach out and communicate with the communities they are supporting.
In the 4 years since the initiative’s inception, Take One Leave One has expanded from one rail to over 30, and has attracted support from charities Centrepoint and Crisis,
Express Medicals have contributed a donation of winter clothes to stock the rail.
